White Liar by Miranda Lambert
Rhetorical Analysis about White Lair
White Liar is one of my favorite country songs ever. To me it fits perfectly into the country music genera. Country music (in my opinion) is about everything that happens to people in their lives. In this song you can see the ethos when she sings the part “Yeah I´m a white liar
The truth comes out a little at a time
and it spreads just like a fire
slips off of my tongue like turpentine” The reason I think this is because she isn’t going to let some guy take advantage of her. She finds out what he really has been up to and she gives him some pay back. When she sings I think it is easier to hear the pathos in her voice then when you read the lyrics. There is emtion in her voice and when I listened it didn’t sound like she was sad. To me is sounded like she was laughing at the guy because he wasn’t the only one having fun on the side. I don’t think there are any logos because the song is more about her character (ethos) and how she is feeling or appealing to other people feeling (pathos). Overall, I think this song fits perfectly into country music genera and it has good ethos and pathos. Plus I just really like this song. :D
